Weekend Style

Weekends are my time of the week to get my errands done, take some time for myself, see my friends, and regroup for the week to come. As much as I'd love to sit around and wear sweats while watching movies for two days, it's not realistic for me. And for that reason, my weekend style has to reflect that.

To put my style in a few words, I'd call it: on-trend, comfortable, and simple. My usual style isn't full of bright colours and patterns (although I'm slowly -very slowly- incorporating more into it). So, my weekend style definitely reflects that.

The look I put together is one I've worn to run to the mall, go for lunch, or a weekend meeting. I'm currently obsessed with the off-the-shoulder tops and this black one is my favourite.

Top: Old Navy
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Call it Spring

Summertime Coral Makeup Tutorial

It may only be June 3, but after the high of 35°C (95°F) here in Winnipeg yesterday, I think it's safe to say it's basically summertime. For me summer is the one time of year my wardrobe actually has some real colours in it, and this year peach, coral, and orange are my colours of choice.

The other day I found an adorable tea-length coral dress at Old Navy (for only $24!!!!), and it inspired me to create a makeup look to match. I pulled out my go-to summer lipstick, Coral Bliss from MAC, and started creating the look I'm going to teach you today.

If it wasn't clear by the title, this look is definitely going to be a summertime staple of mine this year. What I love about the colour coral is it's still natural looking, but adds the pop of colour most people love during these warm months.

Now into the tutorial!
